THOUGH BADLY CENTERED AND SOME FADING, THE PERFS ARE GOOD.  MAKES ANICE ADDITION TO MY PLATE #2.  NOTE THE PLACEMENT OF THE STAMP. BBBB

ATTEMPT AT ERASING RED MC FOR RE-USE

WOULD HAVE BEEN A VF ITEM.  IN THE 1840'S PEOPLE TRIED TO ERASE THE RED MC.  THE INK WAS NOT PERMANENT SO COULD BE REMOVED.  THIS IS A CLUMSY ATTEMPT.

POSSIBLY A PL 8 WITTH'O' FAULT AND BASE DOUBLED. THANKS, KEVIN MAUNDER & BRIAN PERRET.  (THE BLACK MC WAS PERMANENT.)
